LoveSac Sactional Review

Hi everyone! Today I want to talk about our newest addition to our tiny living room- the Lovesac sactional! Our family desperately needed a new couch that would fit our growing family, however, it needed to check off quite a few boxes before I was willing to invest.

First and most importantly it needed to FIT. We are working with less than 10x10 of space in the living room. I wanted us all to have a seat. I wanted room for guests to be able to sit comfortably. It needed to be washable, modular because our door opening is less than 36", and kid-proof or as close to it as possible!

I researched a few companies. We came very close to purchasing a HomeReserve sectional. HomeReserve checked all boxes and was significantly cheaper, however, their reviews were clear about 2 important things: the seating is firm and the particle board base is flimsy. We like soft seating and my 2 little boys would have the board broken instantly! They are pretty rambunctious.

Our Sactional and ottoman were ordered with a 35% off coupon. I highly suggest ordering during the times the discount is offered because if not the couch adds up in cost quite quickly. Ours was a little over $4200 in total. They do offer financing options. We didn't go with the fancy seat covers or the super plush cushion options. I didn't like how reviewers said the softer cushions looked over time. Cushions that slump aren't my style. We went very basic with our sactional but there are many very nice custom options available including the new reclining seats!

We ordered the 4 Seats + 6 Sides (1Deep) layout with an extra storage ottoman. We ordered all angled sides. The dimensions of this layout are 99×76. The ottoman is 29×41. The seat covers we ordered were the color Taupe Combed Chenille which is the perfect shade of neutral gray/brown. It's very smoothe and soft to touch.

The order came in approximately 2 weeks, and in 16 different boxes. The order does not come with instructions for your ordered layout. I definitely view this as a con. Setting up without instructions was an absolute nightmare and felt a lot like the game of Tetris. Set up took us nearly 5 hours and it would have been smoother if they sent directions. However, this is not difficult to build, just to arrange correctly so everything fits perfectly. Putting the covers on is a 2 person job. I highly suggest gloves because the fabric burns your hands after a while. It's not physically difficult but getting the seams to line up is tedious.

Once the couch is set up it is pretty straight forward with arranging the cushions. Once the cushions and pillows are arranged on the couch, you are all set. I would describe the couch as a perfect mix of plush and firm. It's large and everyone has a spot to relax. The only uncomfortable part of the couch in my opinion is in the corner seat of the sactional. The pillows at the angle they sit do not support the neck and back well, but if you put a throw pillow behind your back it is comfortable and cozy!

We are all loving it so far. I will update this blog in a year for an updated review!
