In Light of the Coronavirus

Everywhere we turn we are seeing information about COVID-19. It's dark times we are living in but I'm not here to discuss that. I'm here to bring just the smallest bit of light to the situation we face as a new but temporary "norm".

It's not common to hear of or personally work more than 40 hours a week every single week. Or to work weekends. Or overnights. Many families see eachother in passing and cannot remember the last time everyone was together under one roof- at one time. How about last time everyone got together on the couch for a movie? A boardgame? Even just a walk around the block?

This past week here in Rhode Island as we are headed into our second week of quarantine except for essentials I've seen more families together and taking walks than ever before. Kids grinning ear to ear because the family is together and spending time together because there is no where else to go. Parents laughing. It's honestly refreshing. Yes, it's tough being out of work, but I cant help but to put a little focus on the fact that though these are uncertain times, it's certainly amazing to see families getting to spend time together they wouldn't otherwise be able to do. Stay healthy friends❤
